League Activities and Highlights
The league is organizing various actions to spread its message and raise awareness about men’s health. Players such as Marcel Witting (BWL), Steven Strong (KAC), Kilian Zündel (G99), Ramon Schnetzer (PIV), Dominik Horvath (AVS), and Max Coatta (VSV) are among those participating, growing a "Mo" – a mustache – to show their support for men’s health. The mustache has become the unmistakable symbol of Movember, recognized globally as a sign of the initiative.

A highlight is the participation of the entire Olimpija Ljubljana team. The club is taking the campaign to a new level by designing special jerseys with a printed mustache for the entire month. The team has also launched an internal “Best Moustache of the Month” competition to award the most creative and impressive mustaches. Additionally, Olimpija is organizing cancer prevention workshops to strengthen awareness of preventive measures. These efforts demonstrate that the campaign goes beyond symbolic gestures; it is about prevention and education to protect men’s health. Olimpija is also raising funds for "Onkoman," the Slovenian Movember organization.

Movember: More Than Just Mustaches
Movember, recognized globally since 2003, draws attention to men’s health. Besides physical health, the movement also focuses on mental health and works to combat the high suicide rate among men. According to the WHO, about 60 men worldwide die by suicide every hour – a staggering statistic that calls for action.

The 60th Goal: A Symbol for Mental Health
The win2day ICE Hockey League is addressing the high suicide rate by dedicating the 60th goal of the month to these men to raise awareness of the issue. "Mental health" plays a central role in the win2day ICE Hockey League, with a strong focus on this topic already in October, and Movember continues that emphasis seamlessly.

The message is clear: men should feel empowered to talk about their feelings and accept support. The Movember initiative and the win2day ICE Hockey League demonstrate that sports can be a critical platform for addressing tough topics and raising awareness of the importance of mental health.

"Clean-Shave" as the Starting Signal
Numerous players across the league shaved clean at the start of the campaign, symbolizing their support for the movement with the growth of their mustaches. This solidarity within the league – players, teams, and clubs united for an important cause – makes it clear that men’s health is a matter for everyone. Throughout the month, the win2day ICE Hockey League will share updates on all channels, from progress on mustache growth to interviews.
