In the qualification rounds S.G. Cortina and the EK Zeller Eisbären can make another big step towards the playoff ticket. The leaders of the qualification group A and B are playing against the runner ups. In Master Round Asiago Hockey and Pustertal are battling for the second place.
FBI VEU Feldkirch – Rittner Buam
The FBI VEU Feldkirch recently booked two consecutive wins in the derby week. But they are still on the last place of the master round, as this was their first points. Against the Rittner Buam they aim to confirm their rhythm, but the Rittner Buam are not only the leader of the league, they didn’t lose a single game in master round. The first duel in master round of these two teams clearly went to Ritten.
EHC Alge Elastic Lustenau – HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice
While Jesenice had a week off last week, Lustenau had to take two defeats in derby. With only four more game to go for Lustenau, they are currently ranked on the 5th place. If they still want to make a jump into the top 4, they would need a win against Jesenice. The Slovenians are after four games on the fourth place, but only trailing by one point to the second place. The first duel of these two teams in master round was won by Lustenau.
Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey - HC Pustertal Wölfe
Both teams are currently tied in the standings with 10 points, trailing by four points to the leader of Ritten. The winner of this game makes a big step towards the second place in master round. The first duel of these two teams was a close win for Asiago. This was the only loss of Pustertal in the intermediate round so far.
HC Gherdeina valgardena.at – HC Fassa Falcons
This game could already be the last chance for Fassa to stay in the race for play off ticket. If Gherdeina can take the win they could come close again to the leader or take the second place. This is the first duel of these two teams in qualification round. In the regular season in both duels the home team won.
Red Bull Hockey Juniors – S.G. Cortina Hafro
With a win against the runner up, S.G. Cortina can make a big step towards the playoffs. If Salzburg manages to win the game we have a very close race for the playoff ticket again. This is the first duel of these two teams in Qualification Round. In both duels in regular season the home team won.
HC Neumarkt Riwega – EK Zeller Eisbären
The EK Zeller Eisbären are on their best way to the playoffs. If they manage wo win against the runner-up, it would be another big step. Currently Neumarkt is already trailing by seven points, with a win they could the reduce the gap down to four points. This is the first duel of these teams in qualification round. In the regular season in both duels the home team won.
WSV Sterzing Broncos Weihenstephan – EC KAC II
The Sterzing Broncos aim to make the race for the playoffs close again. If they manage to win against the KAC they can either take the second place or narrow the gap to the leader – depening from the result of the other game. Both duels in regular season were won by the Broncos.
