Champion Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey 1935 won 6:0 in Dornbirn and is on a good way to finish Top 4. Besides, EC „Die Adler“ Stadtwerke Kitzbühel was successful in Gherdeina on Wednesday (5:1). Now, the Tyroleans need just one more win to fix the Pre Playoffs in the Alps Hockey League.

Each team, EC Bregenzerwald and Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey 1935, searched their luck in the offense (41:42-shots), but the Italians have been the once, who potted the goals: Bardaro (3./sh), Rosa (6.) and Stevan (12.) gave the „Yellow-Reds“ a quick 3:0-lead, while the Vorarlberger could not beat goalie Cloutier (41 saves). Besides, the „Wälder“ failed to score form their Power Play opportunities too. On the other side, Pietroniro potted the 4:0 (40.) and decided the match. The Italians had to play shorthanded for four minutes at the beginning of period 3, but they allowed no goal during that span. Then, the guests controlled the game and added two goals netted by Pietroniro and Olivero - 6:0. The Champion has earned their fourth straight win and has now the same number of points (77) as the Rittner Buam, who are ranked on place 4.

The Gherdeina was almost complete with the only absence of Simon Vinatzer. Kevin Wirl scored the first goal of the match for the guests after 4 minutes of play, but Colin Long scored equally thanks to the first powerplay of the match and thanks to the shot from the distance of David Roupec. The Austrian team played for the pre-playoff goal while Gherdeina was already qualified. With this different situation, the "Eagles" were more determined. Niclas Maurer escaped in counterattack as he led the Kitzbühel to the 2th goal. During the central period, the Austrians had much more game pace and Henrik Hochfilzer achieved the 3:1 (25'). In the meantime, Tim Linder could no longer play for Gherdeina after having remedied a blow. In the third half the Gherdeina tried to get back into the game but they didn't find the right situation. Andreas Vinatzer was out of the game for slashing. In the last minutes of the game Maximilian Egger scored two goals, one with an empty net goal for the final 5:1. For Gherdeina the defeat didn't change anything. The Austrian team, on the other hand, was getting closer to the pre-playoffs.
