Scorer Eric Johansson joins Wolves
Big signing for HC Pustertal „Wolves“! Experienced forward Eric Johansson joins the club for the 2017/18-season. The 35 years old Center is best known in Italy, he played already two seasons (2013/14, 2014/15) for Ritten. In both seasons the Swedish-Canadian was a key-player for his team, he lead the Rittner Buam 2014 to the title and won the Italian Cup twice (2014, 2015). Johansson was also Champion with HV71 in Sweden, scoring the Championship Winning Goal 2008. 2016/17 the Forward spend with Herning Blue Fox in Denmark (one Assist from four games) and in Amiens in France (20 points from 19 games). Besides he has played already in the AHL 151 times, for Fehervar AV19 in the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga or in Germany for SC Riessersee and always was a reliable scorer.
 
Bahensky stays at Sterzing
Zdenek Bahensky returns to WSV Sterzing Broncos Weihenstephan! The Czech came during the past season from HC Nove Zanky in Slovakia to Italy and convinced completly: In nine Alps Hockey League-games for the Bronces the 31  years old Power-Forward scored 17 points (8G/9A, Plus-Minus: +14).
Besides the club extended the contracts with the Forwards Denny Deanesi and Luca Felicetti. 24-year-old winger Deanesi, who played for HCB Südtirol Alperia in Erste Bank Eishockey Liga before, came to Sterzing last summer and gained 20 points (9G, 11A in 37 games) in his first Alps Hockey campaign. Felicetti is a very experienced player, the 35-year-old had 23 points (9G, 14A in 38 games) last season.
 
New import and two new Austrians for the „Wälder“
Juuso Mörsky will be the second Finn for EC Bregenzerwald. Last season the 28-year-old forward hit the ice for Norwegian side Kongsvinger, gaining 39 points (9G, 30A) in 49 games. Before that Mörsky always played in his home country where he also became two-time Mestis champion. Besides the two Austrians Thomas Vallant and Raphael Wolf are new defensemen at EC Bregenzerwald. Raphael Wolf switches from the Red Bull Hockey Juniors to the west-club. For the club from Salzburg the big and strong defenseman made past season four Assists from 31 games. Vallant played last season for EC-KAC in the Alps Hockey League and in the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga and will get also 2017/18 games for the Dornbirn Bulldogs in Austrias highest League too.
 
First arrival at Asiago
24-year-old Anthony Bardaro is the first new arrival at Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey 1935. The Center spent the last four years in Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) League, gaining 108 points (39G, 69A) in 117 games for the University of British Columbia. Now the Canadian goes overseas for the first time.
 
Pointbest defenseman stays at Jesenice
Aleksandar Magovac signed a contract extension with HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice. The 25-year-old defenseman started his career with the „Red Steelers“ and returned there last season after four years playing at EK Zeller Eisbären, HC Orli Znojmo and „EC „Die Adler“ Stadtwerke Kitzbühel. 2016/17 the 25 y/o Slovenian was the best defenseman of Jesenice, earned 33 points (9G, 24A) from 44 games.
 
From Feldkirch to Kitzbühel
Youngster Friedrich Schröder switches within the Alps Hockey League from FBI VEU Feldkirch to EC „Die Adler“ Stadtwerke Kitzbühel. The 21 years old Forward, who returned past season after two years overseas at the Islanders Hockey Club and the Okanagan Hockey Europe to Austria, scored 2016/17 for the west-club one Assist from 16 games.
