Innsbruck and Dornbirn lose preseason games

Both the HC Tiroler Wasserkraft Innsbruck and the Dornbirn Bulldogs suffered pre-season defeats. While the Innsbruckers only had to admit defeat in the Penalty Shootout, the Bulldogs gave up a 3:1 lead in the final period.

Bulldogs lose against HC Thurgau
The Dornbirn Bulldogs suffered a 3:6 defeat against HC Thurgau in their first home test. After a goalless third at the start, the guests opened the scoring. Then, however, the team from the Ländle acted more efficiently and equalized by Anton Straka still in the middle period. In the final period, the hosts seemed to gain the upper hand. Goals by Nikita Jevpalovs and Sam Antonitsch brought the 3:1 lead. However, HC Thurgau put a lot of pressure onto Dornbirn and won 6:3.

Innsbruck defeats Feldkirch in the Shootout
The HC TWK Innsbruck completed another test on Tuesday in Feldkirch. After a goalless third at the start, the team from the Alps Hockey League recorded a successful middle section. Both teams scored, but the hosts went into the third period with a 3:2 lead. Goals by Felix Girard and Sam Herr finally brought the Sharks into overtime. The decision was finally made by VEU Feldkirch in the penalty shootout.
