After five minutes Innsbruck took over command and they were rewarded soon when Mitch Wahl opened the scoring off after a great combination with Andrew Clark and Andrew Yogan. It was the only goal in the first with Znojmo becoming stronger in the middle frame. Former Eagles goalie Patrik Nechvatal had some great saves to keep the lead and his forwards were very efficient. After Kevin Wehrs doubled the lead, Wahl added his second of the night. Captain Tyler Spurgeon put the sharks 4:0 up before the second intermission. Colton Yellow Horn got Znojmo on the scoreboard in the third but it was all Innsbruck for the remainder of the period. John Lammers restored the four-goal lead while Hunter Bishop made it 6:1. Wahl rounded off the scoring, celebrating a hat trick. While Innsbruck travels to Klagenfurt tomorrow, Znojmo hits the road for Bolzano.
