HC TIWAG Innsbruck had double reason to celebrate in their only Monday game against Moser Medical Graz99ers. In their 900th league game since 2000, the Sharks prevailed 6-4. The Moser Medical Graz99ers, who already had a six-game winning streak this season, meanwhile suffered their eighth loss in a row - with a strained roster. The former league leader has been pushed down to seventh place and has now been overtaken by the Sharks. In the opening third, Deven Sideroff in particular was unstoppable, scoring a brace in the first 20 minutes to make it 2-0. By the 26th minute, the guests even increased to 4:0, before the 99ers started a race to catch up. Within only seven minutes, the hosts reduced the score to 3:4, but the Styrians lacked the strength to finally turn the game around. In addition to Sideroff, Daniel Ciampini and Jan Lattner also scored twice. Innsbrucks finally celebrated a 6:4 success - after four defeats against Graz in a row. The Sharks have already lost twice to Graz in the current season.
