Innsbruck signs EIHL top scorer | New head coach for Linz

The HC TWK Innsbruck “Die Haie” signed Elite Ice Hockey League’s top scorer of the past season Sam Herr and announced two more forwards for the upcoming bet-at-home ICE Hockey League. While the Moser Medical Graz9ers strengthened its roster with Swedish forward Johan Porsberger, the Black Wings Linz brought in Pierre Beaulieu as their new head coach and inked defender Charles-David Beaudoin.

Innsbruck tabs three more forwards
The HC TWK Innsbruck "Die Haie" has signed three North American forwards. The 27-year-old Sam Herr has already proven his scoring qualities: In the past Elite Ice Hockey League season he scored 30 goals and dished 29 assists in 46 games for the Nottingham Panthers. Prioir that, he played three full seasons for Ontario Reign in the American Hockey League.

22-year-old Max Gerlach played in the second Swiss League last year, scoring 38 points there for HCB Ticino Rockets – over twice as many as the second-best scorer in his team.

The trio will be completed by Deven Sideroff, who heads into his first campaign overseas. Most recently, he has played more frequently in the AHL at San Diego Gulls, but also in the ECHL at the Tulsa Oilers.



Graz inks Swede Porsberger

The Moser Medical Graz99ers have signed Johan Porsberger from Sweden for the upcoming ICE season. For the 27-year-old it is the first season outside his home country. In recent years, the forward has mainly played in the Allsvenskan - but 62 games in the SHL too. In his lone complete first division season, 16-17 for Leksands IF, he scored 22 points. In the past campaign he played for AIK and collected 12 goals and 13 assists.



Pierre Beaulieu becomes Linz' head coach | Black Wings sign Canadian defender
With Pierre Beaulieu the Black Wings Linz presented their coach for the upcoming season in the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League. The 37-year-old was most recently head coach of the Krefeld Penguins in the DEL. The Canadian began his coaching career in the 2010-11 season, as he took over the position of video and goalie coach at EC-KAC for four seasons.  At the beginning of the 14-15 season he moved to HC Innsbruck as an assistant coach, where he remained until the end of the 17-18 campaign. During 2016 he gained his first experience as a head coach. The 37-year-old spent the last two seasons in Krefeld, where he became head coach on December 12th last year.

Moreover, the Black Wings Linz have signed Charles-David Beaudoin, as the Canadian defender starts his European career in the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League. The 26-year-old has spent the last three seasons mainly in the American Hockey League, playing 104 games for Manitoba Moose. Past season he was also part of the Jacksonville IceMen and the Rapid City Rush squad in the ECHL, scoring 18 points in 29 games.
