Innsbruck signs new forward | Jaka Sodja stays in Ljubljana

HC TIWAG Innsbruck presented with Gordie Green the next new signing. For the 26-year-old winger it is the first European engagement, in the past season the US-American recorded 89 points (36G, 53A) in 75 games for Toledo Walleye in the East Coast Hockey League. In addition, HK SŽ Olimpija has extended the contract with forward Jaka Sodja.

For Gordie Green, HC TIWAG Innsbruck is the first European station. The 26-year-old showed strong perfromances recently especially in the postseasons. In the past two years, Green scored 32 points in 32 playoff games for his ECHL teams (Newfoundland Growlers and Toledo Walleye). The American also hit the ice in the AHL in recent years.

HC TIWAG Innsbruck Sport Manager Max Steinacher: "Gordie is a very fast and agile winger, who has a super stickhandling as well as a lot of playfulness. He will bring us and the fans a lot of joy. In addition, Gordie can also score, as he showed recently in the ECHL playoffs, where he was one of the highest-scoring players."

Jaka Sodja stays in Ljubljana
HK SŽ Olimpija has extended the contract with Jaka Sodja, with the 23-year-old forward entering his third season with the "green dragons". In 95 league games, the Slovenian international has so far recorded eleven goals and 21 assists.
