Innsbruck wants back to winning ways against Graz

The 12th round of the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga offers plenty of action again on Sunday. In the Servushockeynight live game Innsbruck wants to win the second meeting of the season against the Moser Medical Graz99ers as well. In the last two games they conceded two defeats. Leader EC Red Bull Salzburg faces the HC Orli Znojmo after a surprise home defeat against Hydro Fehérvár AV19. The Hungarians, on the other hand, receive league second, the spusu Vienna Capitals. The VSV wants back on the road to success after the tight derby defeat against the KAC. Against the bottom of the table, the Dornbirn Bulldogs they are clearly in the role of the favourites. The EC-KAC wants to continue its high-altitude flight at the EHC Liwest Black Wings Linz.

  • In Penalty Killing the HCI is the bottom of the league. From 37 times in numerical disadvantage they conceded eleven goals. G99, however, had to accept only three goals from 27 times in numerical disadvantage. That's the second best value in the league.
  • For Innsbruck defender Tyler Cuma is questionable. The Austro-Canadian had to end his first game after a short injury break again prematurely.

  • It's also the second match between the EC Panaceo VSV and the Dornbirn Bulldogs this season. In the Messestadion Dornirn, Villach celebrated a clear victory with 8:4. In the H2H overall, the Carinthians won 21 of the 35 meetings.
  • While the Bulldogs were free from play on Friday, the VSV lost to the EC-KAC in the Carinthian Derby with 0:1.
  • By losing to the KAC the VSV is now in fifth place in the league table (17 points). Dornbirn is in eleventh and last place in the league table (3 points).

  • League leaders EC Red Bull Salzburg faces the HC Orli Znojmo after the surprise home defeat against Hydro Fehérvár AV19 (2:3) on Sunday. The Czechs were with no chance at the HCB Südtirol Alperia. They lost with 0:9. It was the highest defeat since its existence in the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga.
  • The first duel of the season was on the program on the 28th September. Salzburg won with 4:3 after shootout. Both teams have each won twice in the past season.
  • The defeat against Fehérvár was only the Bulls' second defeat of the season, the first after regular time. The season record of Znojmo is balanced. Five wins faces five defeats. However, they were only able to win two of their five season games in front of their home crowd. Salzburg is still immaculate abroad. They have won all of their five games.

  • The captain of the Bulls, Thomas Raffl, plays a great season so far. Born in Villach, he is not only the top scorer, but he also scored the most goals so far. In addition, the 33-year-old has already scored at least twice in six games in a row.
