On the second matchday of the "Sárközy Tamás Memorial Tournament" in Budapest, hosts Hungary were also beaten by Italy. In a very evenly matched and low-scoring game between host Hungary and Italy, Italy narrowly prevailed 2:1 after shootout and thus celebrated their second win in their second game. The Azzurri also narrowly defeated Slovenia 1:0 on Thursday, while Hungary suffered their second defeat at the „Sárközy Tamás Memorial Tournament“ in Budapest. Two players from ICE representative HK SZ Olimpija, Rok Kapel and Jan Cosic, got on the scoresheet against Ukraine. While the 24-year-old forward Kapel scored twice, the 20-year-old Cosic scored the 5:4 game-winner 90 seconds before the end of the game. It was the defender's first goal in his fourth international match.

Ahead of the final matchday on Saturday, Italy is at the top of the table with five points. They are followed by Slovenia and Ukraine with three points. Hosts Hungary have just one point and therefore no chance of winning the home tournament.
