Hockey Club Milano announced the signing of Jake Smith. The 31-year-old goaltender brings extensive international experience: after developing in the OHL and beginning his professional career in Bolzano (champion in 2018), he established himself over several years in Italy, including stints in the Alps Hockey League and with Pustertal. In total, Smith has played 77 games in the win2day ICE Hockey League. Most recently, the 31-year-old played in Denmark, the ECHL, and France, where he posted a .936 save percentage in the playoffs.

Head coach Doug Shedden: “Jake has improved year after year. We believe he's ready to take on this great opportunity as our number one goaltender. He'll have our full confidence to express himself at his best.”

U.S. defenseman for the Pioneers
The Pioneers Vorarlberg have signed 27-year-old U.S. defenseman Logan Britt, who is making his first move to Europe. The left-shot blueliner arrives in Vorarlberg following a college career and more than two years in the ECHL, most recently with the Orlando Solar Bears. Britt stands out with his strong skating, solid positioning, and composure with the puck. At the same time, he does not shy away from physical play and brings the size and reliable first pass that are essential in the win2day ICE Hockey League.
