After seven seasons in Innsbruck, you decided to make the move to Kitzbühel. What was behind that decision, and why did you feel this was the right move for you at this point in your career?
Jan Lattner: “I spent seven years in Innsbruck, and after the season I spoke to the people there and they decided that I wouldn’t stay for another year. After that, I spoke with Kitzbühel, and everything happened really quickly. They told me I could play in Kitzbühel. I then spoke to my wife and my kids, and we felt it was the perfect decision for me and my family because Kitzbühel isn’t far from Innsbruck and we’re still living there.”

What are your personal goals for the upcoming season, and what do you want to achieve with Kitzbühel as a team?
Jan Lattner: “I’m really happy to play in Kitzbühel because it’s a very nice city and everyone here has been really welcoming. My goal for the season is to help the young guys because we have a very young team. I want to be a good leader and a good teammate. As a team, we want to play good hockey and be successful this year.”

After spending so many years in the ICE Hockey League, what are you expecting from the Alps Hockey League, and how do you see your role within the team?
Jan Lattner: “I don’t know too much about the league yet because, after 15 years, it’s a new league for me. But I’m ready for the first game, and we’ll see what’s coming. I think we’re good enough and we’re ready for the start of the season.”
