Jean-Philippe Lamoureux's outstanding career came to an end on Friday with the quarter-final exit from Villach. The 40-year-old, who won the championship twice and holds several records, was one of the most influential players in the win2day ICE Hockey League over the past 14 years.

Lamoureux joined the league in the 2011/12 season and played a total of 14 seasons in goal for Ljubljana, EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV, spusu Vienna Capitals and EC Red Bull Salzburg. He won one league title each with Vienna and Salzburg, and the US-American was also voted league MVP in the 2019/20 season.
