Jesper Jensen Aabo came to Klagenfurt in the summer of 2022 after nine seasons and a total of 451 appearances in the SHL (Sweden), the KHL (Russia) and the DEL (Germany). His extensive international experience also grew in his home country's national team: The current World Championship in the Czech Republic is the 13th in a row in which Jensen Aabo has participated. The left-handed shooter has played 96 league games for the Red Jackets to date, resulting in 41 scoring points (eight goals, 33 assists) and a +37 rating. The 32-year-old gets the first import position in the defence for the coming season, and his new contract in Klagenfurt spans two seasons.

Jesper Jensen Aabo: "I am very happy to have extended my contract with the EC-KAC. Playing hockey here for the past two years has been a great experience, we have a great fanbase and always receive support, whether we're playing at home or away. I also stayed with the EC-KAC because I really want to win a title and that opportunity is always there in Klagenfurt. I was very disappointed about how last season, which was so wonderful, ended in the final game seven, but now we're all motivated to try again next year."
