Jesenice is still without a home loss in the current playoffs, while Zell am See has yet not lost an away game. EKZ´s 1:3 home defeat at the start of the finals was their first ever loss in the current playoffs. Jesenice have so far only been beaten once in the quarter-finals in Cortina. The Slovenians didn't necessarily have more of the game in their opening win, but goalkeeper Zan Us saved almost everything. In the end, the Slovenian recorded 37 saves, while Max Zimmermann in the Zell am See goal saved 29 shots. In offense, the “Polar Bears” will have to hope for Max Wilfan, among others, who has scored 52 points in his 50 playoff games so far. That leaves him just five points shy of catching up with all-time playoff top scorer Tommaso Traversa.
