The HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice celebrated an important shootout win against Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey 1935 in an tough battle between two top-6 aspirants. With the seventh’s consecutive success, the Slovenians reduced the gap to the sixth ranked team to one point.

It was the exciting game as expected before the game. HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice secured two points after shootout and muddled the start of neo coach Petri Mattila. Jesenice booked the better start and captured the lead after five minutes because of a goal of Jaka Sturm. Asiago pressured for the tie but didn’t managed to overcome Antoine Bonvalot in the first period. In the 38th minute the hosts managed to tie – Marco Rose scored the 1:1. In the final period it was obvious that both teams had a lot to lose. The fans saw no more goals in the third period and also in the overtime. Jesenice finally captured the extra point in shootout. It was the sevenths consecutive success already. Both teams are trailing by one point anymore to the top-6.
