Joël Teasdale strengthens offense of Villach

EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV has secured the services of Canadian forward Joël Teasdale. The 26-year-old is expected to give the team more depth and punch in the decisive phase of the championship. Teasdale, who also made two NHL appearances for the Montréal Canadiens, most recently played in the ECHL.

With the addition of Joël Teasdale, EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV brings a robust and versatile forward to Villach, aiming to boost the team’s stability and quality in the offensive zone. Standing 183 centimeters tall and weighing 96 kilograms, the winger is known as a classic two-way forward characterized by high intensity and reliability in all areas of the ice. Alongside his strong defensive play, he also contributes offensively with smart positioning, a direct approach to the net, and strong physical presence.

In recent years, Teasdale played in the AHL and appeared in two NHL games for the Montréal Canadiens during the 2022/23 season. He began the current campaign with Spisska Nova Ves in Slovakia before moving to the ECHL’s Trois-Rivières Lions, where he collected 18 points (11 goals, 7 assists) in 24 games.
