On Thursday Olimpija's nine-game winning streak came to an end in Salzburg with the Red Bull Hockey Juniors getting a 3:2 victory. While EHC Alge Elastic Lustenau and Rittner Buam got home wins, HC Gherdeina was the only successful away team.

The hosts took over control right from the beginning, getting some shots goalwards but visiting goalie Misa Pietilä made some stopps. Gasper Glavic came close to opene the scoring but he did not found the back of the net. In the middle frame the host still had the better of the play but Gherdeina also generated some chances. After a defensive mistake Ivan Demetz ad a 1 on 0 but could not beat netminder Ziga Kogovsek. The Gherdeina forward did better late in the second when he broke the spell on power play. The visitors kept the lead until minute 57 when Jesenice captain Andrej Tavželj tied it at one. Just 26 seconds later Andreas Vinatzer restored Gherdeina's lead, though. With the hosts pulling their goalie, Gabriel Vinatzer made the game safe.

With his first AHL goal Marcel Zitz put Salzburg ahead but just two minutes later Janez Orehek finished a nice pass for a 1:1 score. Everything went quickly and after Yannic Pilloni's goal it was veteran Ales Music, who tied it on a 3 on 1 once again - 2:2 after 13 minutes. Soon later the visitors still created chances but could not turn the game around. In the second the game was at eye level again and at the midway point 19-years old Eilas Wallenta (1st AHL goal as well) added a third for Salzburg. Olimpija pressed for another equalizer but Juniors goalie Leevi Laakso performed great and kept the tight lead. The hosts killed the clock successfully and earned a fifth successive win.

Both teams played a fast-paced hockey right from the beginning with Lustenau taking the early lead. After three minutes Chris D'Alvise found the back of the net with David König and Martin Grabher-Meier getting the assists. The hosts were the dominant team but Dave Labrecque and Marc-Oliver Vallerand missed the best chance for a second goal while plaing shorthanded. In the second EHC captain Max Wilfan doubled the score and now it was all Lustenau. Philipp Koczera and once again Chris D’Alvise added two more goals for a 4:0 lead. Late in the period Kitzbühel got on the with Fabian Nußbaumer scoring on power play. Lustenau had everything under control in a goalless third and moved up to third place.

The only game played in Italy for this November 1st was in Klobstein. The first period was full of emotions with five goals. Scholz took the lead for the guests. Immediate answer of Rittner Buam: Alex Frei, after 180 seconds, scored the tie. On 11.07 just Fabian Scholz must sit for two minutes on the bench punished. Just 24 seconds have passed and the Italian champions took the advantage with Julian Kostner (pp). However, Zell am See did not give up as they found shortly after the temporary draw with Tobias Dinhopel. At 58 seconds from the first whistle, Swedish Henrik Eriksson scored the 3:2 for home team. For the "Buam" it was the 18th goal in powerplay, no other team of the AHL has scored so many goal with one more man on the ice. In the central period the hosts closed the match in a minute. At 31.28 Simon Kostner beat Dominik Frank for the 4:2, 45 seconds after Alex Frei scored his personal double (5:2). Thus the meeting was practically decided. After the restart of the game, Captain Dan Tudin also entered the scorers list, scoring the 6: 2 goal. Then the Austrian line shortened the gap on the final 6: 4 with Louke Oakley and Martin Oraze. The last goal was by Simon Kostner. This is the fourth consecutive success of the Ritten.
