The HC Meran/o Pircher, who are ninth in the table, were beaten for the sixth time in their sixth AHL game against Red Bull Hockey Juniors. The visitors took the lead in the fourth minute through Joseph Garreffa. After that, however, the Juniors, who were victorious for the first time after three consecutive defeats, took command and made it 5:1 in the first period, with Kalle Myllymaa scoring twice. In the second period, the Juniors added another goal after just 66 seconds, before it took until the 54th minute for Calder Anderson to reduce the deficit to 2:6 for Merano and also scored the final goal of the game.

The 29th and second last round in the Regular Season of the Alps Hockey League will be concluded tomorrow, Wednesday, with seven games. Should either Cortina or Vipiteno lose after 60 minutes, the Red Bull Hockey Juniors will definitely finish in the Top-6 and would therefore be qualified for the Master Round and Playoffs.
