Jure Sotlar returns to Ljubljana

The 26-year-old Jure Sotlar will return to his home club HK SZ Olimpija Ljubljana for the coming season, for whom he already played from 2008 to 2016. In the past season Sotlar was active for EK Die Zeller Eisbären. He scored 81 points in 44 games. In the history of the AHL, Sotlar has already scored 236 points, which puts him in second place in the all-time scorer ranking.

"I am happy to be back at my home club. I'm looking forward to being back in the green jersey and listening to the raging fans in the Tivoli. I hope that as a team we can achieve our goals for the coming season," said the six-time Slovenian international after his signing.

Sotlar is second best scorer in AHL history
After Jure Sotlar was active for his home club in Ljubljana from 2008 to 2016, he moved to Jesenice and played in the Alps Hockey League from the 2016/17 season. After a year in Jesenice, the 26-year-old joined Sterzing for two seasons and finally Zell am See in the past season. Sotlar has scored 236 points in a total of 168 games in the AHL so far. Only the Canadian Dylan Stanley, from the VEU Feldkirch, is even more successful with 260 points.
