Referees: BABIC, M. NIKOLIC; spectators: 3.700
Medvescak started in a tough position being short two players on two penalties early on, but witheld on Rosandic's effort in the net. Shortly after, in the 7th minute the Bears were on a powerplay and with another penalty delayed Olden found the back of the net after a nifty wrister from the left faceoff circle. Medvescak doubled the lead in the 13th minute on a powerplay through Aviani, after a scramble before the Eagles' net. Villach cut the lead in half shortly after when Fraser took a shot from the blueline, which ricocheted off one of the defensemen and beat the young Croatian goalie. Medvescak continued in the same fashion in the second period - Sylvestre restored the two-goal lead in the 26th minute after a wrister from the left faceoff circle found its way to the net in the top right shelf. Exactly midway through the second period Kudelka makes it 4:1 for the home team with a shot that looked more like an assist from the blue line but fooled the visiting goalie. In the 18th minute Olden stole a puck shorthanded from Villach's goalie behind the net, went for the wrap around, but Bakala made it back in time and made a highlight reel save with the glove. The Bears controlled the game in period 3 and have even added  the 5:1 scored by Lemtyugov. Villach has lost seven straight games now.
Goals MZA: Olden (7./pp), Aviani (13.), Sylvestre (26.), Kudelka (30.), Lemtyugov (58.)
