KAC and Caps catch up to the leader + Bolzano signs defender

The EC-KAC and the spusu Vienna Capitals caught up with victories to leader Graz. The first follower of the top trio is Fehérvár AV 19, who ended the winning series of the Graz99ers. The Bratislava Capitals celebrated a success over EC VSV after a penalty shootout.

The HCB Südtirol Alperia strengthened its defense with Alex Trivellato. The Italian defender was hired on loan from the Krefeld Penguins (DEL). The new defender will already make his debut in the white and red jersey on Tuesday, November 17, in the ice wave against iClinic Bratislava Capitals.

KAC wins two games in a row for the first time since September
The HC TIWAG Innsbruck had to admit defeat in its first game after almost a month with 1:2. The EC-KAC won two games in a row for the first time since September. The first meeting in the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League also ended 2:1 for Klagenfurt. The Innsbruckers once again put up a tough fight for Klagenfurt, but were unable to get into overtime. Especially KAC-Goalie Sebastian Dahm knew how to prevent this. Manuel Geier ended his goal lock with his first goal this season. With this success the Klagenfurt team shortened the gap to leader Graz to one point.

Fehérvár AV19 ends the winning streak of the Graz99ers
After six victories in a row, the Moser Medical Graz99ers had to admit defeat for the first time since October 2. With a 5:2 victory Hydro Fehérvár AV19, who won five of the last six games, reduced the gap to the leader to three points. The Hungarians thus also took revenge for their 4:6 defeat at the start of the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League. For the 99ers, the Ocskay Gábor remains a very difficult ground. Of the last nine games in Hungary, the 99ers could only win two games, or conquer five of 27 possible points.

Successful comeback for Vienna
The spusu Vienna Capitals gave a successful comeback against the Dornbirn Bulldogs. 28 days after the 4:1 home victory over EC Red Bull Salzburg, the Viennese won by a narrow margin 2:1. The duel with the Dornbirn Bulldogs was under the sign of the terror attack of November 2, 2020 in the Vienna City. The caps came in specially "Wien BLEIBT STARK!" jerseys designed by striker Taylor Vause. The game was also special for Caps veteran Phil Lakos, who played his 800th league game for the Viennese. With the success over Dornbirn - it was already the tenth victory against the Bulldogs in a row - the Caps reduced the gap to leader Graz to one point. The Bulldogs remain on the sixth place.

Bratislava defeats VSV in the Shootout
The iClinic Bratislava Capitals celebrated a 2:1 shootout success over EC Grand Immo VSV. The two teams fought a tough duel. Brock Higgs captured the lead for the hosts in the second period. In the last period, the Eagles started a run for the goal of Samuel Baros, which was finally overcome by Patrick Bjorkstrand. After a goalless extension, Adam Lapsansky made the decision for the Capitals. While EC GRAND Immo VSV remains in last place, Bratislava advanced to seventh place.
