KAC and Milano remain unbeaten

KAC laid the foundation for their third win of the season early on. Klagenfurt were highly efficient in the derby against Villach, with Nick Petersen scoring his 150th league goal to give the hosts a 3:0 lead after the opening period. Following Metzler’s goal to bring VSV back into the game, KAC pulled away again and eventually secured a convincing 6:1 victory, with Sablattnig scoring twice.

Milano still unbeaten
Milano Hockey Club also remain unbeaten. The newcomers defeated the Pioneers Vorarlberg 5:4, despite a hat-trick from van Nes not being enough to earn the hosts a point. Milano, for whom Hannoun scored twice, already led 5:1 early in the second period and have now collected the maximum nine points from their first three games.

First wins of the season for Linz and Innsbruck
The Steinbach Black Wings Linz were already leading Ljubljana 4:0 after 33 minutes. Although the Slovenian side managed to reduce the deficit to one goal, they ultimately had to accept their first defeat of the season. Innsbruck also secured their first win of the campaign. The Tyroleans twice came from behind against Salzburg and eventually prevailed in the shootout. The still winless Salzburg side at least picked up their first point.

Home wins for Graz and Vienna
The Moser Medical Graz99ers staged a comeback victory. The reigning champions scored twice late in the game to level against Bolzano before securing a 4:3 overtime win, handing the South Tyroleans their first defeat of the season. Like Graz, the Vienna Capitals have five points after three games. The Viennese twice equalised against Fehérvár on the power play before eventually winning in the shootout.
