The EC-KAC prevailed in the only Tuesday match of the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League against the league leader in overtime. Lukas Haudum provided the deciding goal. While the Klagenfurt team thus continued its away series, HCB Südtirol Alperia suffered two defeats in a row for the first time since October.

The EC-KAC won the first duel of the season with HCB Südtirol Alperia 3:2 after overtime and thus reduced the gap to the league leader to five points - with three more games played. The Foxes suffered two defeats in a row for the first time since October. Even before the clash, a high-socring game was not to be expected, as the two strongest defenses in the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League met. Even though the Bolzano team had to do without their regular goalie Leland Irving, backup Justin Fazio once again proved his reactions. But also on the opposite side Sebastian Dahm convinced with top saves. With a strained personnel cover, the Klagenfurters took a 2-0 lead until the 22nd minute. But the Foxes showed comeback qualities and equalized until the 55th minute. In overtime, Lukas Haudum showed himself cold-blooded on the side of the guests, conquered the puck in his own attacking third and ensured the decision.
