HC Falkensteiner Pustertal – EC-KAC
Pustertal tops the win2day ICE Hockey League standings thanks to a 7–1 win over the Pioneers and a strong home record, having earned 75.8% of possible points on home ice and winning eight straight home games. KAC closes out the first half of the season with their first visit to Bruneck this year. Klagenfurt arrives with confidence after collecting six points last weekend against the Pioneers and VSV, and averaging 4.1 goals per game in a strong November. They currently sit two points behind first place in fourth. However, their recent road form has been shaky. Historically, KAC leads the head-to-head series with 17 wins in 27 encounters. In their first meeting of the season in Klagenfurt, the Red Jackets took a 3–2 overtime victory.

Moser Medical Graz99ers – Vienna Capitals
With four consecutive regulation wins, Graz is currently the hottest team in the league. The Styrians share second place on points with leaders Pustertal and have won eight of their last nine games. The Team of new head coach Dan Lacroix boasts a strong power play (26%) and the league’s best penalty kill (89%). The Vienna Capitals play their third consecutive road game in Graz, but their lineup is heavily depleted due to up to seven injuries and illnesses. The Capitals have only two away wins this season and sit 11th both in the road and overall standings. Their defensive game has improved recently (12 goals conceded in five games), but offensively they’ve struggled, scoring only eight goals in that stretch. The 99ers won the first season matchup in Vienna 3–1.

Hydro Fehérvár AV19 – Olimpija Ljubljana
Fehérvár regained confidence with a 6–1 win in Budapest and now sits six points shy of the top six. Olimpija has alternated wins and losses in its last five games, most recently taking an overtime home victory against Ferencváros. The third-placed Slovenians boast by far the league’s best offense with 102 goals scored. Nicolai Meyer (37 points) and TJ Brennan (34) lead the scoring race. In late September, Olimpija edged Fehérvár in a shootout at Tivoli.

EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV – HCB Südtirol Alperia
New VSV head coach Pierre Allard will make his debut on Wednesday when Villach hosts Bolzano. After three straight losses, the Carinthians have dropped to seventh. With 15 points from 10 home games, VSV ranks only 11th in the home standings. Fifth-placed Bolzano, on the other hand, has won three straight and sits just four points behind leaders Pustertal. The “Foxes” have the league’s second-best offense (83 goals) and the third-best defense (54 goals against). Villach won the first meeting 6–3 in Bolzano, but overall the HCB leads the all-time series 42–24. The game will be broadcast live on ORF Sport+ and DAZN Italy.

FTC-Telekom – EC Red Bull Salzburg
After a short slump, Salzburg is back on track with four wins in its last five outings, climbing to sixth place. On the road, Manny Viveiros’ team has collected 14 points from 10 games. FTC-Telekom sits just a few points behind in eighth place. The Budapest side earned a point in Ljubljana last Saturday but suffered a clear derby defeat to Fehérvár before that. In the season’s first meeting, the defending champions cruised to a 7–2 win, with Troy Bourke recording two goals and two assists.

Steinbach Black Wings Linz – HC TIWAG Innsbruck
The Steinbach Black Wings return home after two away games, starting a “Nikolo Special” stretch with three home games in four days. Linz currently sits 10th in the standings but ranks among the top six home teams with eight wins in 11 home games. Innsbruck arrives second-to-last with the league’s weakest defense (102 goals against) but has surprised with wins over top sides like Ljubljana, including a 9–6 win over KAC. The Tyroleans have lost their last four road games. Linz won the first matchup of the season 4–2 in Innsbruck.

Innsbruck announced on Tuesday that they will have to play the rest of the season without their top scorer, Steven Owre. The former league MVP sustained a serious knee injury in the game against HCB Südtirol Alperia and will miss the remainder of the championship.
