EC-KAC – EC Red Bull Salzburg
Sunday's ORF Sport+ live game at 17:30 features third-placed EC-KAC against seventh-placed Salzburg. On Friday, Klagenfurt ended a three-game losing streak with a narrow 5-4 shootout victory over Pioneers Vorarlberg. Salzburg, meanwhile, have been in excellent form, winning four of their last five league games, including a convincing 6-1 away victory against Fehérvár. Peter Schneider recorded a hat-trick in that game and has now scored nine goals in his last six league appearances. Klagenfurt won the first meeting of the season 7-1 in Salzburg, although the Red Bulls have won their last four away games against KAC.

Milano Hockey Club – HCB Südtirol Alperia
On Sunday, league newcomers Milano Hockey Club host league leaders HCB Südtirol Alperia in their first Italian derby. The game will be broadcast live on DAZN in Italy from 17:00. Milano suffered a 4-1 defeat against HC TIWAG Innsbruck in their home opener on Friday, marking their third consecutive loss. Bolzano also suffered a defeat in their most recent game, losing 4-3 in overtime at Villach, but remain at the top of the standings. After starting the season with eight consecutive away games, Milano will now play their second home game in three days.

Vienna Capitals – HC Falkensteiner Pustertal
Vienna Capitals host HC Falkensteiner Pustertal on Sunday at 16:00. Both teams suffered defeats on Friday: Vienna lost 3-2 at FTC-Telekom, while Pustertal's four-game winning streak ended with a 5-2 defeat in Linz. The Capitals consequently dropped to tenth place in the standings with eleven points from eight games. Pustertal continue to boast one of the league's strongest defensive records, having conceded just 19 goals in seven games. Last season, the teams split their four head-to-head meetings, with Vienna winning both of their games in regulation.

Hydro Fehérvár AV19 – Moser Medical Graz99ers
Graz99ers travel to Hydro Fehérvár AV19 on Sunday, returning to the venue where they secured their historic qualification for last season's final. In early April, Graz claimed a 5-1 victory in the fourth semifinal game in Székesfehérvár to reach the final for the first time in club history. Most recently, the Austrian side suffered a 4-3 overtime defeat against Olimpija Ljubljana on Friday. Fehérvár have recorded three wins so far this season and suffered a heavy 6-1 home defeat against Salzburg in their latest game. Graz will then turn their attention to the Champions Hockey League, where they face Norwegian champions Storhamar on Wednesday.

Olimpija Ljubljana – FTC-Telekom
Fifth-placed Olimpija Ljubljana host twelfth-placed FTC-Telekom on Sunday. The Slovenian side have won their last two games, most recently claiming a 4-3 overtime victory at Graz99ers on Friday. Joshua Lawrence and Nicolai Meyer each scored twice in that encounter. FTC-Telekom also celebrated a victory on Friday, defeating Vienna Capitals 3-2 on home ice. The Hungarian team recorded their third win of the season and will now look to build on that result in Ljubljana.

Pioneers Vorarlberg – Steinbach Black Wings Linz
Steinbach Black Wings Linz travel to bottom-placed Pioneers Vorarlberg, who are still searching for their first win of the season. Linz have been in excellent form recently, recording convincing home victories against EC-KAC (6-1) and Pustertal (5-2). On Friday, the Pioneers suffered a narrow 5-4 shootout defeat against EC-KAC but earned their first point of the season. The teams already met in late September, when Linz claimed a 5-3 victory after surrendering an early 3-0 lead. The Black Wings enter Sunday's game in second place and aim to continue their strong run on the road.

HC TIWAG Innsbruck – EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV
Sunday's meeting in Innsbruck features two teams that celebrated important victories on Friday. Eighth-placed VSV defeated league leaders Bolzano 4-3 in overtime and have collected twelve points from eight games. Innsbruck recorded a 4-1 away victory in Milano's home opener and sit eleventh with eleven points. Villach have won seven of the last ten head-to-head meetings but have lost their two most recent away games in Innsbruck. VSV's power play has been particularly effective recently, producing six goals from their last eleven opportunities.
