KAC wins first ICE-internal test match
Both EC-KAC and Hydro Fehérvár AV19 played their first test game in Bled (SLO). The opener of the preseason was supposed to be an internal showdown between two teams of the win2day ICE Hockey League. The Klagenfurt team was stronger, even if this was not reflected in the scoring until the final period. After Steven Strong's goal at the end of the first period, the Hungarians equalized at the beginning of the final period through Gleason Fournier. The KAC was now able to convert its superiority into goals: Lukas Haudum, Luka Gomboc and Thomas Hunderpfund made it 4:1 and secured the first preseason win in the first test match for Klagenfurt.

Salzburg celebrates first success in second preseason game
EC Red Bull Salzburg won 5-3 against Czech first division side HC Motor České Budějovice in its second test match of the new season in České Budějovice, with forwards Luca Auer and Peter Hochkofler each scoring a brace. It was Hochkofler who opened the scoring, but by the start of the second period České Budějovice turned the match around to make it 2-1. Hochkofler equalized before Budějovice took the lead again in the final period. A quick brace from Auer put Salzburg on the winning track. Ali Wukovits finally made the final score of 5:3.

Pustertal celebrates clear victory in the duel of the wolves
In the duel of the wolves - HC Pustergal against EHC Freiburg - HC Pustertal celebrated a clear 6:2 victory. For the South Tyroleans this was already the second win in the second preseason game. For the DEL2 team, which underwent a major upheaval in the summer, there was nothing to get in the encounter against the win2day ICE Hockey League team, which did without Daniel Glira, Christian Kasastul, Mikael Frycklund, Jason Akeson and Alex Petan to give young cracks a chance. Pustertal made everything clear already in the first two periods. After goals from Ivan Deluca, Rick Schofield (2x), Matthias Mantinger, Simon Berger and David Morley, the final score of 6:2 was already established after 27 minutes.

Pioneers open preseason with win against DEL2 team
The BEMER Pioneers Vorarlberg celebrated a 3:1 victory over the Ravensburg Towerstars at their test game opener in the Vorarlberghalle.
