Release from 20.09.2020
In the 13th edition of the Red Bulls Salute there was a new winner: The EC-KAC replaced the EHC Red Bull Munich. However, after a goalless third at the start, the two-time winner (2017 and 2019) was initially led by Yannic Seidenberg. Klagenfurt, however, continued to hold out strongly. At the beginning of the final period, the EC-KAC's efforts were rewarded by a double strike. Nick Petersen and Samuel Witting took the 2:1 lead within one minute. In the last two minutes the Munich team tried to score without a goalie, but the KAC's defense could not be defeated and after an extremely exciting final phase the Klagenfurt team finally brought the victory over time. The KAC thus celebrated the tournament victory right away at its first participation in the Red Bulls Salute.
