The team is currently facing multiple challenges: Justin Fazio is sidelined with a muscle injury, Marco Costantini is still waiting on his visa to travel from overseas, and Riccardo Santangelo is representing Italy at the U20 World Championships. Bringing in Karolus Kaarlehto is a swift and targeted solution to fill the roster gap. The Finnish goalie is expected to arrive in Asiago later today.

A Proven Goaltender
Kaarlehto boasts an impressive resume. Standing 186 cm tall and weighing 78 kg, he has experience in various European leagues and has represented Finland at the junior national team level. Since beginning his pro career in 2016, he has primarily played in Finland, featuring in the Liiga and Mestis.

In 2020, Kaarlehto gained his first international experience with the Esbjerg Energy in Denmark and later played in the Slovak Extraliga for HK 32 Liptovský Mikuláš. His journey has also taken him to France (Ligue Magnus, Anglet), Sweden (SHL, Timrå), and back to Slovakia (Extraliga, Dukla Michalovce). Most recently, he split time this season with Jukurit in the Finnish Liiga and TUTO Hockey in the Mestis.
