Puschnik scores four goals in Feldkirch’s road win
The VEU Feldkirch quit its intensive road-trip with a 5:4 win after shootout at Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey. After victories in Vienna on Friday and Ritten on Saturday, the Vorarlberg side grabbed the third win within the last three games to level fourth-ranked Cortina in standings. While Feldkirch sits on fifth spot with 55 points, former champion Asiago remains seventh, trailing two to the top-6. An impressive performance of Kevin Puschnik gave the Austrians the victory, as the forward tied it three times for the guests to complete a hat trick with 39 seconds left in the second to balance it on three. After Marco Rosa got the Italians on powerplay up again (52.), VEU’s netminder Alex Caffi kept his colors alive with 45 saves overall. However, Feldkirch found the way to overtime with Niklas Gehringer scoring 39 seconds left in the game. After a non-goal extra session, again Puschnik scored, converting the decisive penalty.

Gherdeina’s power play clicks in huge home-win
With scoring on all three powerplay occasions, the HC Gherdeina valgardena.it booked a huge 6:2 home win against Vienna Capitals Silver to make it two in a row, after Thursday’s home win against Sterzing.
