In the past season, the Viennese origin played 42 of the 44 games of the season and scored 29 points (16 goals, 13 assists). Bolterle went through the junior department of spusu Vienna Capitals and played exactly 35 games in the Erste Bank Eishhockey Liga between 2015 and 2018 for the Caps and also stood in the line-up for a Champions Hockey League game three times. In the 2016/17 season he was already loan to Kitzbühel for two games, and since the beginning of the 2018/19 season he has been continuously engaged in Tyrol.

"We are all primarily concerned about our health at the moment, but we hope that things will return to normality in the foreseeable future and that we will see each other again in the circle of the Adler family playing ice hockey. In any case, we are preparing for the new season and trying to put together a great team. We're in good discussions with many of the players from last season and so I'm happy to have Patrick Bolterle in the Adler team for the coming season as well. Patrick did very well last season, is a player with good goal instincts and will play an important role in our team," said Michael Widmoser, Kitzbühel's sports director, about the contract extension and the current situation.

"I have experienced a lot with the Eagles and feel very welcome here in Kitzbühel, and I also want to achieve even more with the club. My personal goal is to show more in the coming season than I did in 2019/2020. With the team there is only one goal: the title," Patrick Bolterle hopes for a further increase in the coming season.
