Klagenfurt and Zagreb reopen league

After the international break the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga will be reopened by EC-KAC and KHL Medvescak Zagreb on Wednesday. The first battle of the season won Zagreb with 5:1, but on the road the Croatians struggle a bit.

  • Zagreb won the first duel with 5:1 – this was the highest defeat of the KAC.
  • Zagreb didn’t capture three points in a single road game.
  • One of the best penaltykillings (MZA 86,3 %) is facing one of the most fragile teams in numerous disadvantage.
  • Zagreb can draw the level to KAC with full three points
  • Salzburg ended the five games winning-streak of the KAC shortly before the international break. 
Manuel Ganahl, KAC: „In the first part of the season we made more positive than negative experiences. Now our injured players are coming back and we can further develop. Personally, I gained good self confidence in the international break. Against Zagreb we aim to take revenge on our defeat in the first battle.”
 
Injuries: Boschofberger, Kraus, Robar and Harand are celebrating their comeback. Only Manuel Geier und Richie Regehr are missing.
