EC-KAC II has celebrated a 3:2-win in the Alps Hockey League in Feldkirch on Friday! Goalie Jakob Holzer with 38 saves and forward Mark Kompain with two goals have been the matchwinners for Klagenfurt. Plus: Transfer news from Milano and Sterzing.

The VEU Feldkirch and EC-KAC II searched their luck in the offense in period 1 (14:11-shots). Klagenfurt was more effectiv: Mark Kompain (13.) and Philipp Kreuzer (15.) gave their team a 2:0-lead within just 118 seconds. On the other hand, goalie Jakob Holzer allowed no goals from the Vorarlberger. In period 2, the West-Austrians did more for the offense and were finally rewarded with the 1:2 netted by Jordan Pfennich (35.). In period 3, the fans got to see an offensive match again. Both clubs scored once  and in minute 47: First, Mark Kompain netted the 3:1. But, the Vorarlberger had a quick answer and responded just 14 seconds later: Kevin Puschnik was successful – 2:3. In the final minutes, Holzer, who had 38 saves, allowed no further goal and so, EC-KAC took three points from Feldkirch.

News from Milano and Sterzing
Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan have signed Italo-Canadian Center Mitch Nardi. The 25-year old power-forward has started his Europe-career in Nantes (FRA/2) 2018/19. Besides, Russian Andrei Ivanon went from Como to Hockey Milano Rossoblu and Assistant Coach Tanner Burton will have a comeback as player.
