In the win2day Austrian Women’s Hockey League, Lakers Kärnten celebrated a 4–2 away victory over the Graz99ers Huskies on Sunday. Majorie Bolduc stood out with a two-goal performance.

There was reason to celebrate for the second Carinthian team in the European Women’s Hockey League as well: the VSV Lady Hawks came out on top against MAC Budapest, while the Sabres St. Pölten had to accept a defeat in Budapest despite taking an early 2–0 lead.

The Lakers opened the scoring in the 4th minute through Emma Hall, but the Huskies immediately answered via Julia Klamminger. Ten seconds before the end of the first period, Majorie Bolduc restored the visitors’ lead and added her second goal shortly after the restart to make it 3–1. Both teams scored once in the final third, and with a clear shot advantage of 55–15, the Carinthian team left the ice as well-deserved winners.

In the EWHL, the VSV Lady Hawks secured a 2–1 home win over MAC Budapest. Lian Chang put her team ahead in the first period, with Chavonne Truter equalizing for the visitors in the second. The decisive goal came from top scorer Liga Miljone, who found the net in the 46th minute. Goalie Jane Gervais impressed with 39 saves.

The day was less pleasant for the Sabres St. Pölten, who lost 2–3 to Budapest Jegkorong Akadémia. Although two early goals from Kinga Jokai-Szilagyi gave the Lower Austrian side the lead, the hosts leveled the game in a balanced second period. In the 53rd minute, Nikolett Feher completed the comeback for the Hungarians, who held on to their narrow advantage until the final buzzer.
