With Jean-Philippe Lamoureux, EC VSV has signed one of the defining players of the win2day ICE Hockey League in the past years. The catch rate of the US-American was always above 92 percent. In his very first year with the spusu Vienna Capitals, the goalie captured the championship title with the Vienna team. After three years with the Caps, Lamoureux moved to EC Red Bull Salzburg and there, too, the goalie was able to conquer a trophy in his first season - the "Ron Kennedy Trophy" for the Most Valuable Player. In the past season, Lamoureux became champion for the second time.

VSV General Manager Andreas Napokoj: "We have succeeded in signing our absolute dream candidate for the goalkeeper position. We are very happy that it worked out and that we now have an absolute top goalkeeper team with Jean-Philippe Lamoureux and Alexander Schmidt. Schmidt should also benefit from the great experience and class of Lamoureux in his further development. Our two goalie positions are now perfectly manned."

Lamoureux has signed a contract with the "Adler" for the next two years and will come to Villach with his family at the end of July.
