Wednesday night, the last gameday of 2020 in the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League is scheduled, with five games kicking off 7.15 pm: While leader HCB Südtirol Alperia aims points for the eleventh time in a row, runner-up Hydro Fehérvár AV19 plays for the tenth consecutive victory. Jens Gustafsson makes his debut as head coach of the Moser Medical Graz99ers, two rivals for top-5 meet at Salzburg and Villach sees the meeting second-last against last-ranked.

Sky Sport Austria will cover the game between Salzburg and Innsbruck live. The other four games will be offered as pay-per-view video streams on live.ice.hockey.

  • On the last gameday in 2020, it comes to the duel between EC GRAND Immo VSV and Steinbach Black Wings 1992.

  • Both teams are coming off shutout defeats on Monday, but before that each won on the road.

  • The second-placed Hungarians are on a streak of new wins - and have conceded just one point during that streak.
  • AVS has also been convincing defensively recently, finishing three of their last five games without conceding a goal.
  • The third-placed Viennese only put an end to their negative run on Monday, returning to winning ways after five winless games.
  • The two duels so far this season were decided in a shootout. The road team prevailed in each case.
  • AVS holds at 97 goals on the season and can become the first team to reach the 100-goal mark.
  • VIC has won 54 of its 75th games against AVS so far. Eleven of the last 15 games in Hungary have been won by VIC.

  • HCB got an average of only one goal against in the last four games. The main culprit is goalie Andreas Bernard, who has guarded the "Foxes" goal in those four games, giving him a GAA of 1.00. His save percentage amounts to 96.7%.

  • The two teams are side by side in the standings - and are fighting each other for a place in the top-5. Salzburg (36 points), which has played four games less, is sixth, Innsbruck (34) is seventh.
  • While RBS ended its losing streak on Monday (4-:1 vs. DEC), HCI picked up just one point from its last three games.
  • HCI won the lone duel so far this season with 4:1.
  • In 73 duels so far, Innsbruck has only managed 27 victories.
  • For the 37th time the two teams meet in Salzburg - only five times Salzburg remained without points.
  • At HCI, Felix Girard is eligible to play again after his suspension.

  • Jens Gustafsson and Patrick Harand celebrate their debut as head and assistant coach respectively for the Moser Medical Graz99ers and challenge EC-KAC on the road. For the Styrians, it is the first game after the recall of long-term coach Doug Mason.
  • Harand thus returns to the place where he spent the last eight seasons. In the summer, his expired contract was not renewed.
  • G99 has picked up just five points from its last ten games, while the KAC has picked up 18 points. While the Styrians are in eighth place, the Carinthians rank fourth.
