On Tuesday the last Return-2-Play game of this Alps Hockey League season will take place. In this the S.G. Cortina Hafro will meet Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey. In the first leg, Cortina prevailed with 6:5. In the second game on Tuesday, the Steel Wings Linz will face the EC Bregenzerwald. Also two games are on the program on Thursday. The HK SZ Olimpija Ljubljana will face the EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel and the SHC Fassa Falcons plays against the Rittner Buam.
Due to medical precautionary measures in connection with Covid-19, the derby between the EHC Lustenau and the VEU Feldkirch, originally scheduled for Wednesday, December 16th, had to be postponed indefinitely.

The Steel Wings Linz and the EC Bregenzerwald meet for the second time this season. On November 28th, the "Wälder" celebrated a 7:0 home victory. It was the start of a winning streak for ECB that has now lasted four games. In the standings, Bregenzerwald is already in eighth place. The Steel Wings are in 16th and last place with two points. Away, the ECB usually has lots of problems. From the last ten games away from home they managed only one victory, but this only in the last game at the EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel. In the AHL, the two teams have faced each other five times so far. In all games, the ECB won by at least a three-goal difference. Felix Beck and Adem Kandemir are back in the lineup for the EC Bregenzerwald. Bernhard Posch and Jonas Kutzer, on the other hand, left yesterday with the U20 national team for the U20 World Championship in Edmonton. Benjamin Winkler, Kai Hämmerle and Lukas Löfquist are still not fit to play, as well as Assistant Captain Felix Vonbun.

In the last Return-2-Play game the S.G. Cortina Hafro will face Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey. In the first leg, Cortina still managed to win with 6:5 despite trailing with 4:1 meantime. Last week, the two teams faced each other for the first time in Phase 2. The sixth-placed team in the table from Asiago won clearly with 5:1. Overall, ASH has won all of its last four games. Cortina, twelfth in the standings, won two of the last five games. However, Cortina has always scored points at home for more than a year. In total, from the last 17 home games they got at least one point. The last home defeat after regular playing time dates from 14.12.2019, when they lost against the HC Pustertal Wölfe with 2:4. Asiago has won all of their past four games away from home. In ASH's last game, an impressive streak of Steven McParland ended. In the 13th game of the season, the 29-year-old Canadian failed to score a point for the first time. In total, the attacker scored 18 points (9G/9A).

After more than a week without a game in the Alps Hockey League, the HK SZ Olimpija Ljubljana returns to the ice on Thursday. In their last two AHL games, the 2019 champions conceded two losses toagainst the final opponents the HC Pustertal Wölfe. In the standings, the Slovenians are in third place with 21 points from twelve games. The current form of the EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel is also mixed. From the last five games, the Tyroleans won two games. In the standings, the "Eagles" are in ninth place with 15 points. So far this season, HKO has not faced the KEC. Ljubljana has won four of the six previous meetings. In terms of scoring efficiency, the "Dragons" (10.97% - 2nd place) are clearly superior to the "Eagles" (8.91% - 9th place). With Paavo Hölsä, HKO is also clearly ahead in terms of goaltending. With a save percentage of 94.6%, the Finn is in second place in the Goaltending Statistics. Last but not least, a save by the 26-year-old was voted to the Top Save of the Week in the fan voting on the Alps Hockey League Facebook page.

In the second match on Thursday the SHC Fassa Falcons will face the Rittner Buam. While Ritten could win the last two games and improved to the 13th place in the standings, Fassa lost for the first time after two wins in a row recently. Against Asiago they lost with 2:1 OT. The "Falcons" are in eleventh place in the standongs. They are two points ahead of the "Buam". This season, both teams have already faced each other once. In that meeing, Ritten won with 5:2 at home. It was Ritten's 15th victory over Fassa in the 15th AHL duel. All victories were celebrated by the 2017 AHL champion after regular playing time.
Derby Lustenau vs. Feldkirch postponed
