Tomorrow, Saturday, the last game day of the intermediate round is scheduled in the Alps Hockey League. In the Master Round, Ritten, Lustenau and Cortina will fight for the two early quarterfinal tickets still available. In the fight for the last pre-playoff spot, there is a distance duel between Zell am See and Feldkirch in Qualification Round B.

HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice will definitely finish the Master Round in second place. The SHC Fassa Falcons, as the sixth in the table, has no more chance to reach the top-4. From the nine games played so far in the Master Round, the Italians picked up only one point. Against Jesenice they lost with 2:6. Overall, the Slovenians have a clear 10:2 lead in the H2H.

While Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey will finish the Master Round in first place, Lustenau needs one more point to fix the top-4 and thus reach the quarterfinals early. As fourth in the table, they are currently two points ahead of fifth Cortina. If the points were equal, EHC would be ahead of the Italians, as they won the direct duel. Against Asiago, Lustenau could even win two of the three season duels so far. However, the first meeting in the Master Round was decided by the league leader with 3:1.

The Rittner Buam are third in the table and on the best way to make the early quarterfinal qualification. Their lead over S.G. Cortina Hafro is three points. In addition, the Buam won the first leg with 4:0. This means that Cortina has to win with at least four goals difference on Saturday to still pass the South Tyroleans. Cortina is two points behind fourth place and the EHC Lustenau. Since they lost the direct duel against the Vorarlberger team, they need a win after 60 minutes and at the same time have to hope for a defeat after regular playing time by Lustenau to still move past the Austrians. However, Cortina has mostly struggled against Ritten this season. Across competitions, three of the four encounters were clearly lost.
Qualification Round A:

In the Qualification Round A all positions are already taken. The EC Bregenzerwald will finish the group in second place. The EC-KAC Future Team will finish fourth and miss the top-3 and thus the pre-playoff qualification. Bregenzerwald has been in strong form lately, with three wins from the past four duels. However, the Future Team also was in good shape recently, winning four of their last five games. In the seson H2H, the ECB is ahead with 2:1 victories.

The Red Bull Hockey Juniors will finish Qualification Round A on top and will meet the third of Qualification Round B in the Pre-Playoffs. For the EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel, the game in Salzburg on Saturday will be the last game of the season. The Tyrolean team is at the bottom of the table. They could not win any of the last four games. Against the Young Bulls, however, they got a win in two of three season duels.

Both The HC Gherdeina valgardena.it and the Steel Wings Linz are in the pre-playoffs. For the Steel Wings, who can still drop from second place to third, it will be the first participation in the postseason. Val Gardena will finish the group in first place and will face the Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan in the pre-playoffs. The "Furie" and the Steel Wings have dueled three times so far this season. In all encounters the South Tyroleans were clearly victorious (5:0, 4:1, 9:1). Overall, Val Gardena leads in the H2H with 7:0.

The BEMER VEU Feldkirch has the entry into the pre-playoffs no longer in their own hands. The Vorarlberg team is currently two points behind third-place Zell am See. If the points are equal, VEU would pass the Polar Bears. That means Feldkirch needs two more points than Zell am See tomorrow to reach the pre-playoffs after all. HC Meran/o Pircher, as fifth in the table, has no more chance to climb into the top-3. The first duel with Feldkirch in the Qualification Round went only narrowly to the VEU with 2:1 OT. In the other two season duels, the league newcomer even took a narrow victory in each case.

In the duel of the league returnees, it is an important match especially for the guests from Zell am See. The team from Salzburg currently is in third place in Qualification Round B and thus has the last pre-playoff spot. However, they are only two points ahead of fourth-placed Feldkirch. In addition, they lost the direct duel against the Vorarlberg team. This means that if the points were equal, VEU would still pass the "Polar Bears". With a win after regular playing time, it would be clear for Zell am See that they have made it into the pre-playoffs. In two of three season duels with the Vienna Capitals Silver they clearly succeeded. In the first meeting in the Qualification Round, however, the Viennese surprised with a 3:1 away win. As the last team in the table, they cannot make any progress in the standings on Saturday.
