HCB Südtirol Alperia - EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV
In the top game of the 35th round, league leaders Bolzano welcome Villach, currently the “hottest” team in the league. The Carinthians have won all of their last eleven games and have thus equalized their longest winning streak since the league was founded. On Saturday, the sixth-placed team in the table prevailed 5:4/OT in Innsbruck. Leaders Bolzano were also victorious in Asiago with 5:4/OT. In the meantime, they were already trailing 2:4. For the South Tyroleans, it was one of three wins from their last five games. The “Foxes” have won against VSV in both encounters so far this season.

EC-KAC - Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey
The second Carinthian team, EC-KAC, is also in action on the last matchday of the year. Klagenfurt were not playing on Saturday. With four wins in a row recently, the team in fifth place in the table, which has one point more than Villach, is in very good form. Asiago are in twelfth place and five points behind the all-important tenth place. The Italians have failed to win any of their last nine games. On Saturday, they let a 4:2 lead against Bolzano slip away. Asiago haven´t won against the KAC this season. The KAC have won 3:1 and 5:3 so far.

EC Red Bull Salzburg - HC TIWAG Innsbruck
Defending champions Salzburg recently suffered a clear 1:6 defeat at home to Vorarlberg. It was one of three defeats from the past five games for the team in seventh place in the table, who are currently two points behind sixth-placed Villach, albeit with three fewer games played. However, it was their first defeat in front of a home crowd since November 1 and eight wins in a row. Opponents Innsbruck are still bottom of the table. With 27 points, they are currently six points behind tenth place. On Saturday, they lost 4:5/OT at home to Villach. It was one of eight defeats from the past ten games. Against Salzburg they lost 3:4 and 1:6 so far this season.

Hydro Fehérvár AV19 - Moser Medical Graz99ers
Fehérvár, second in the table, takes on Graz, fourth in the table. The two teams are separated by five points. The Hungarians are not in good form at the moment, with just one win from their last five games. On Saturday, they lost 0:3 at home to Vienna, which was Fehérvár's third home defeat in a row. Graz, on the other hand, clearly beat Linz 5:2. Prior to that, the Styrians had suffered two defeats in a row. The 99ers have suffered two defeats against Fehérvár so far this season (2:6, 4:5).

Olimpija Ljubljana - spusu Vienna Capitals
The encounter between Ljubljana and Vienna sees two teams with strong form against each other. While the eighth-placed team from Slovenia has won its last three games, the Capitals, who are ninth in the table, have been victorious in their last two games. With Bolzano and Fehérvár, they prevailed against the respective league leaders. Olimpija currently have a three-point lead over Vienna in the table, albeit with two more games played. In direct comparisons, Olimpija have so far had the upper hand with 3:1 and 2:1/OT. Overall, Ljubljana has won the last four games with the Capitals.

Pioneers Vorarlberg - HC Pustertal
The Pioneers face Pustertal on Monday. In the duel between the team in eleventh place in the table (PIV) and the team in tenth place (HCP), important points are at stake in the battle for the pre-playoffs. Pustertal currently has a four-point lead over the Pioneers, albeit with three fewer games played. The Vorarlberg side's form is currently on a steep upward curve, with three wins in a row. Most recently, they won at defending champions Salzburg with 6:1. Pustertal lost 4:5/OT at home to Ljubljana. It was one of three defeats from the past five games for the South Tyroleans. The “Wolves” won their first game of the season against the Pioneers with 4:0, followed by a 4:5 away defeat.
