The sevenths season of the Alps Hockey League starts on Saturday. A little more than half of the teams have already finished their preseason campaigns. But eight teams will use the last days before the start of the season for one last test game.

The countdown is on. On Saturday, the first ten teams start into the sixth season of the Alps Hockey League. On Monday evening, the S.G. Cortina Hafro will duel with the Canadian college team Concordia Stinger, which is one of the largest universities in Canada with approximately 46,000 students and is currently on a training camp in Cortina.

Four preparatory games are scheduled for Tuesday. First, vice-champion HDD SIJ will test Acroni Jesenice will be in action against MAC Budapest. The two teams already met 14 days ago - then the Hungarians celebrated a clear 6:1 victory. The two teams from Vorarlberg, EHC Lustenau and EC Bregenzerwald have home games against EV Lindau Islanders and EHC Winterthur respectively on Tuesday. Meanwhile, AHL newcomer Hockey Unterland will play former Alps Hockey League team and last year's champion Asiago Hockey for the Italian Super Cup title.

The 2022 preseason will be concluded with the AHL-internal duel between the Rittner Buam and Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan on Wednesday. This duel has also already taken place in the current preseason campaign - a week ago, the "Buam" celebrated a 4:0 success. This duel will also take place on the first weekend of Regular Season.
