Win2day ICE Hockey League | 2. Oktober | Schedule:
Sun, 02.10.2022, 4.30 pm: EC Red Bull Salzburg – EC-KAC
Referees: BERNEKER, NIKOLIC M., Bärnthaler, Nothegger. | >> LIVE AUF PULS24 <<
Host broadcaster PULS24 will broadcast Sunday's sixth-round showdown between EC Red Bull Salzburg and EC-KAC. The Salzburg side is still without a defeat after five games and have not conceded a goal on home ice for over 169 minutes. David Kickert recorded a shutout in each of the last two games. For Salzburg, which has dominated in all games so far, Lukas Schreier, Ty Loney, Dominique Heinrich and now Troy Bourke (lower body) are out. Last season, the "Red Bulls" won three of the four meetings with the "Rotjacken", taking points in all four. The EC-KAC has three wins in a row after a bumpy start in the league, but the Klagenfurt team had to fight a long time for the one on Friday after a penalty shootout in Graz. The Austrian record champion still takes too many penalties (11.6 minutes per game). The "Rotjacken" will also compete against Salzburg in their best line-up. In total, there have already been 153 encounters between these two teams, of which Salzburg has won 82 and Klagenfurt 71.

Sun, 02.10.2022, 5.00 pm: BEMER Pioneers Vorarlberg – HCB Südtirol Alperia
Referees: HOLZER, PIRAGIC, Basso, Martin. | >> live.ice.hockey (PPV) <<
The second unbeaten team besides Salzburg, HCB Südtirol Alperia, will face the BEMER Pioneers Vorarlberg on Sunday. The first road game of the season for the "Foxes", at home they have been convincing defensively, with only a total of three goals conceded, and offensively, with 3.5 goals per game. In the recent 5:1 win over Innsbruck, Bolzano fielded a complete team, but then had to lament an injury-related loss of Angelo Miceli. The Vorarlberg team suffered a 2:3 defeat after shootout on Friday, conceding the equalizer only ten seconds left. Nevertheless, they got the point, the fourth this season - all of them at home. The two teams already met on the first gameday: Bolzano won confidently 3:0, benefiting from two very early goals.

Sun, 02.10.2022, 5.30 pm: spusu Vienna Capitals – HC Pustertal Wölfe
Referees: FICHTNER, SIEGEL, Kis-Kiraly, Vaczi.
The spusu Vienna Capitals expect the HC Pustertal Wölfe and against the South Tyroleans the Viennese had won all games in the past season. Only in the first meeting (October 15th 2021 | 4:3 OT) the "Wolves" got a point. Head Coach Stefan Mair's team travels to the Austrian capital after a clear 0:3 defeat in Salzburg, against the "Red Bulls" there was a lack of creativity in the offense with only ten shots on goal. The "Caps" had considerably more O-zone time on Friday: yellow-black directed 50 shots at the goal of HK SZ Olimpija - nevertheless, the Viennese, which also remained without a power play goal in their fourth game, had to admit defeat with 2:3. For Vienna it is the last match before the return of the suspended Rafael Rotter. Philippe Horsky returns to Vienna for the first time as assistant coach of HC Pustertal.

Sun, 02.10.2022, 5.30 pm: EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV – Moser Medical Graz99ers
Referees: OFNER, SOOS, Miklic, Muzsik. | >> live.ice.hockey (PPV) <<
EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV took a break on Friday and will now face the Moser Medical Graz99ers. The Styrians recently showed probably their best game of the season against EC-KAC: Despite missing key players - especially in the defense - the 99ers showed fighting heart and forced the record champion into overtime after a two-goal deficit. Villach has won its last two games and especially convinced offensively with 6.5 goals per encounter. Also in the past encounters of these two teams there were always many goals, at least seven in the last four games - once even 16. In the last two home games against Graz the "Adler" scored a total of 17 goals. Dominik Grafenthin will meet his former club for the first time with Villach: the 27-year-old has spent the last four seasons on the Mur and played 168 games for Graz. VSV is the most disciplined team in the league after the first five rounds, taking an average of less than two penalties per game. Graz spends an average of 8.8 minutes in the penalty box.

Sun, 02.10.2022, 5.30 pm: HK SZ Olimpija – Hydro Fehérvár AV19
Referees: GROZNIK, STERNAT, Puff, Zgonc. | >> live.ice.hockey (PPV) <<
HK SZ Olimpija says goodbye to experienced Ales Music in the run-up to the encounter with Hydro Fehérvár AV19 in a retirement ceremony. Music has always played in Ljubljana with the exception of the 2017/18 season - which he spent just in Székesfehérvár. He played 547 league games and scored 96 goals and 158 assists. Sunday's game will be a clash between two winners of Friday, which already clashed on September 23rd: Back then, the "Dragons" prevailed 3:2, celebrating the first ever league win over the Hungarians, as they lost all four games in the preseason. Fehérvár has won both games since then, convincing with strong powerplay (36.4%). The Slovenians are still without a goal in powerplay - like Vienna.
