The Klagenfurt team is currently league leader with seven points. Cortina follows in second place with six points. A total of eight games are scheduled for Saturday. The first match on Saturday will be played by HDD SIJ Aconi Jesenice and the SHC Fassa Falcons. Jesenice managed to win one of the two games so far this season. Fassa has two losses on its record. Last season the Slovenians won both duels against the Falcons. They have never lost at home against Fassa. Overall, Jesenice leads in the H2H with 8:2.

Both the HC Gherdeina valgardena.it and the EK Die Zeller Eisbären are still waiting for a victory this season. While the "Polar Bears" already have one point on their account, Val Gardena is even still waiting for their first goal of the season. They have lost both games so far with 0:5. In their home venue, however, the South Tyroleans have won all games against Zell am See so far.

Already for the second time this week the Red Bull Hockey Juniors and the EHC Lustenau will meet. On Tuesday the EHC prevailed with 4:2. It was a game in which only Austrians scored. The Young Bulls were also in action on Thursday. They lost against the Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan (1:4). Lustenau is still unbeaten this season and now has to play away for the first time. The last two guest appearances of the Vorarlberg team in Salzburg they could not win.

Returnee Vienna Capitals Silver lost to S.G. Cortina Hafro in the opener. The Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan, on the other hand, were clearly successful in their first game of the season. The last match of both teams in Vienna was a clear win in favor of the Capitals Silver (6:0). Overall, however, Sterzing leads in the H2H with 3:1.

The Rittner Buam are still unbeaten this season. However, on Thursday they lost a point for the first time against HC Meran/o Pircher (4:3-SO). Kitzbühel also has a clean sheet. But the Tyroleans had only one game of the season, which they won with 2:1-SO against the EC-KAC Future Team. A win for the "Eagles" against the "Buam", however, would certainly be a surprise. Only one of the previous twelve meetings in the AHL they could win, on 23.12.2017 (6:5-OT).

League newcomer HC Meran/o Pircher managed to score at least one point in each of their two games. A surprising 2:1-SO win at Jesenice was followed by a narrow 3:4-SO loss at the Rittner Buam. The Steel Wings Linz conceded two losses in their first games of the season, against league favorites Asiago and Jesenice.

Last year's finalist Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey will host the EC Bregenzerwald on Saturday. The Italians are still unbeaten this season, with a goal difference of 9:2. Bregenzerwald conceded a narrow 3:4 defeat at Red Bull Hockey Juniors in the opener. In the last nine direct duels, Asiago always prevailed. They have never lost at home against the Vorarlberg team so far.

Sensational league leader EC-KAC Future Team will be challenged by S.G. Cortina Hafro in the top clash on Saturday. The Italians are currently the first chaser of the Klagenfurt team. With a goal difference of 10:3 Cortina currently has the maximum of six points from two games. The KFT has already been in action three times and managed to score at least one point in each game and win two of them, most recently with 4:3 against Zell am See. Jannik Fröwis scored a hat trick in this match. In the last four meetings between the two teams, Cortina always prevailed. They have never lost at home against the EC-KAC Future Team so far.
