League newcomer HK RST Pellet Celje started their premiere season with two clear defeats against Jesenice and Ritten. On Saturday, the Slovenians will face the Hockey Unterland Cavaliers, who started the season with two commanding wins and are second in the table. With 15 goals scored, Unterland, together with Jesenice, has the best offense in the league. Five players already have scored five or more points.

In the only Sunday match runner-up S.G. Cortina Hafro will face the Rittner Buam SkyAlps. While Ritten won both games so far, Cortina lost two points right at the beginning against Fassa. But on Thursday they had the perfect answer ready. In the first final rematch against Jesenice, Cortina won with 6:5. The game-winner by Marco Sanna was scored only 56 seconds before the end of the game. Cortina conceded a total of eight goals in two games. Ritten, on the other hand, has only conceded one goal so far. The save percentage of goalkeeper Colin Furlong, who moved from Val Gardena to Ritten in the summer, is 98.1%. Both teams last faced each other in February in the final tournament of the Italian championship. Cortina narrowly prevailed with 2:1 and thus secured the title. In the Alps Hockey League, Ritten won three of four duels last season.
