For the first time this season, league leaders EK Die Zeller Eisbären and third-placed SIJ Acroni Jesenice will face each other. Both teams are separated by just one point. They have won eight of their last nine games, only losing once in the shootout. Jesenice have won five of their last seven games and are therefore also in very good form. With 29 goals conceded, the Slovenians have the second-best defense in the league. The goalkeepers are also partly responsible for this. We have an exclusive interview with 18-year-old goalkeeper Bor Glavič - to the interview.

Defending champions Rittner Buam SkyAlps will play their first league match since November 3. The South Tyroleans were in action at the Continental Cup last week. The Slovenians are also in good form with three wins from their last five games. Celje didn´t face Ritten this season. Last season, the “Buam” won in both encounters (4:2, 4:0).

Second-placed KHL Sisak, who suffered their first defeat in regulation time last Saturday in Merano, will visit bottom-placed Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan. The South Tyroleans have only won four of their 16 games so far this season and are already six points behind twelfth-placed Merano in the table. League newcomers Sisak, who have the best defense and the second-best offense in the league, are just one point behind leaders Zell am See. Both teams will face each other for the first time in the Alps Hockey League on Thursday.

Fourth placed Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel are also in action. The Tyroleans will face HC Gherdeina valgardena.it, who are eleventh in the table, away from home.
