EC-KAC vs EC Red Bull Salzburg
It’s first against second: both teams bounced back from defeats with wins in their latest outings. The KAC celebrated a 5–4 victory in Feldkirch, while Salzburg prevailed 4–2 in Graz. Klagenfurt have collected points in each of their last 15 home games and currently hold a seven-point lead over Salzburg. With Mathias From — who recorded four points in Feldkirch on Friday — the “Red Jackets” also feature the league’s top scorer. The Red Bulls have won 15 of their last 17 games and boast impressive five-on-five numbers, leading the league in both goals scored (2.76 per game) and fewest goals allowed (1.29). Salzburg lead the season series 2–1 and have also won their last three away games in the Heidi Horten Arena. The reigning champions can book their playoff spot on Sunday.

Vienna Capitals vs HCB Südtirol Alperia
Following their 4–3 win against Pustertal, the Vienna Capitals aim to extend their strong run under head coach Kevin Constantine. The Caps have collected 22 points from ten home games so far. Sitting in eighth place, they are battling for a Pre-Playoff berth. Bolzano, currently fourth with 77 points, cruised to a 5–0 shutout win over Innsbruck on Friday. With 145 goals, the Foxes boast the league’s most prolific offense and could secure their playoff spot on Sunday. However, the Capitals have won two of the three matchups between the teams this season.

HC TIWAG Innsbruck vs Steinbach Black Wings Linz
Innsbruck are at the bottom of the standings with 26 points, with six of their nine wins coming at home. Linz, coming off a loss in Villach, face another away challenge. The Black Wings are the league’s second-weakest road team with just four wins in 20 away games. Currently in tenth place, the Upper Austrians have won all previous meetings with Innsbruck this season and are desperate for points in the race for the Pre-Playoffs.

Pioneers Vorarlberg vs EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV
As so often this season, the Pioneers showed strong effort on Friday but narrowly fell 4–5 to league leaders Klagenfurt. VSV travel to Vorarlberg riding a two-game winning streak, highlighted by a crucial 6–2 victory over Linz in their battle for a top-ten spot. The Carinthians sit in eleventh place but have played fewer games than most direct rivals. In their two previous encounters this season, the home team came out on top each time.
