The Red Bull Hockey Juniors took over the lead on Thursday with a 3-0 win in Jesenice – their fourth straight victory. On Saturday, the Salzburg side welcomes HC Migross Asiago. The Italians, currently in eighth place, have alternated between wins and losses in their last five games. On Thursday, they celebrated a derby win over Cortina. With Maxim Eliseev (21 points) and Jesse Juhola (20), two Juniors players top the league scoring chart, while Asiago’s Ryan Valentini ranks fifth with 15 points. Salzburg clearly won the first meeting of the season 7-2.

The chasers’ duel between KHL Sisak and Rittner Buam SkyAlps will be played twice within just 24 hours. After a successful South Tyrolean derby week with eight out of a possible nine points, Ritten now travels to Croatia. Sisak had to surrender the league lead after losing in Vipiteno on Thursday but still rank among the league’s hottest teams, collecting ten points from their last five games. The Croatians won the first meeting of the season 3-1.

The fifth-placed EK Die Zeller Eisbären aim to carry the momentum from their derby win against Kitzbühel into the weekend. The reigning champion travels to the Unterland Cavaliers, who remain a dangerous opponent despite sitting in last place and most recently defeated Meran. Zell am See has won four of its last five games. In seven previous AHL matchups between the teams, the Pinzgau side has come out on top five times.

HC Gherdeina valgardena.it and HC Meran/o Pircher both look to get back on track after suffering three consecutive losses. Gardena slipped to sixth place, while the Eagles currently sit in eleventh. Meran has won the last seven head-to-head encounters – including the first one this season, when Daniel Gellon scored twice in a 3-1 win.

After their home win over Sisak, the Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan moved up to seventh place. They now travel to Cortina, who have lost four straight and sit second to last in the standings. The Broncos took both meetings in 2025 so far, including the first matchup of the season (4-3).

The clash between EC Bregenzerwald (10th) and HDD Jesenice (9th) is one between close table neighbors. Both sides have won three of their last five games. The Vorarlberg team has won both of its home games so far, while Jesenice are still without an away point this season. However, the Slovenians have won the last four direct meetings.
