This made standardized procedures, for example after the occurrence of a potential concussion, mandatory for every club. In August, the medical committee of the win2day ICE Hockey League held a two-day conference with 15 physicians from the teams and league doctor Dr. Christiane Loinig-Velik to discuss further developments. At this conference in Bischofshofen, among other things, the topic of cut-resistant undergarments was discussed in detail and a cooperation with league equipment partner Warrior for the referee squad was agreed upon.

Following the tragic death of Nottingham player Adam Johnson, the win2day ICE Hockey League medical committee was asked to look again in detail at the topic of neck guard protection. With the resulting findings - Dr. Loinig-Velik will also take part in a meeting called at short notice by the IIHF Medical Committee this weekend - the next steps will be taken in the league boards and in close coordination with the Austrian Ice Hockey Federation.
