EC Red Bull Salzburg will play away on Wednesday against Danish champions Odense Bulldogs. The Red Bulls are currently ranked 13th, while Odense sits 22nd after one win and three losses. Salzburg’s victories came against GKS Tychy and Bremerhaven, but they failed to secure points against Finnish teams. In the win2day ICE Hockey League, Salzburg currently ranks third, having recently suffered two defeats. They continue to struggle with numerous injuries, though new signing Brandon Coe may make his debut. It remains uncertain whether Troy Bourke will play.

EC-KAC – also currently in the CHL Top 16 like Salzburg – will play their last home game of the group stage against Polish champions GKS Tychy. After wins against Germany’s (Berlin) and Denmark’s champions, Klagenfurt has the chance to take a big step toward the Round of 16. Jordan Murray returns to the lineup, while four regulars (David Maier, Jan Muršak, Fabian Hochegger, Mario Kempe) are sidelined. Young talents such as Filip Simovic (18) and Johannes Dobrovolny (17) are once again in the squad.

HCB Südtirol Alperia will host ERC Ingolstadt. The “Foxes” currently rank 17th with five points and need more points to keep their chances of advancing alive. After six consecutive league wins, they arrive with confidence, most recently mounting a strong comeback against Olimpija. Coach Kurt Kleinendorst will be without defensemen Philip Samuelsson and Dylan Di Perna as well as forward Bryce Misley. In goal, Gianluca Vallini could make his CHL debut – he impressed in league play with a 98.7% save percentage and two shutouts in three games.
