League Top Scorer Brady Shaw stays in Innsbruck

The HC TIWAG Innsbruck - Die Haie extended the contract with league Top Scorer Brady Shaw for one season. The 30-year-old forward scored 63 points (21G / 42A) this season so far. In addition, Nik Simšič will remain with the HK SZ Olimpija for the 2023/24 season.

The HC TIWAG Innsbruck officials and Brady Shaw have agreed on a contract extension. The 30-year-old Canadian has played a significant role in the Sharks' exceptional season so far, leading the win2day ICE Hockey League scoring charts with 63 points. Shaw has not missed any of the Sharks' 43 games so far, scoring 21 goals and 42 assists.

Brady Shaw: "I couldn't be more excited, I'm thrilled to be playing here in Innsbruck again next year. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at the club and especially the fans. The support at the games is incredible, the fans bring another boost of energy for us on the ice every time. But now I'm fully focused on the current season. We have a lot on our plate as a team, and we want to make a long playoff run."

HCI Head Coach Mitch O'Keefe: "Great to have Brady stay with us! He is a very important part of our team, not only as a scorer, but also as a leader in the locker room. He gets the guys going in the right direction. Brady feels comfortable in Innsbruck, and we're glad he's with us."



Nik Simšič enters fifth season with Olimpija

Nik Simšič will enter his fifth season with the HK SZ Olimpija. The 25-year-old has played consistently in Ljubljana since 2019. For the Dragons, the forward scored 57 points in 92 games so far in the win2day ICE Hockey League. This season, however, the Slovenian international will no longer play for Olimpija, but will be loaned to French club Les Ducs d'Angers in the Ligue Magnus."
